IFRA Expo 2007 in Vienna, Austria

"The Internet is the biggest coffeeshop in the world", some people observed, and therefore, we conclude, Vienna must have a special meaning for the Internet. The coffeehouse has been a Viennese institution for three centuries. According to legend, the first such establishment opened with an inventory of Turkish coffee beans, part of the booty from the Siege of Vienna in 1683. Since then, meeting people, reading news(papers), playing games, having animated discussions... became an integral part of the booming Viennese coffeeshop scene which is still unique in the world.

Comyan took up on that story and adapted it to our exhibition booth, creating a stylish fusion between high-tech and the Viennese culture of comfortable meeting spaces. On our "Big Red" sofa, enjoying excellent homebrewn coffee, our visitors attenively watched demonstrations of the Comyan Media System for highly scalable digital assent management, as well as the various digital editions, including our brand new newspaper edition (beta) for the Apple iPhone. Hopefully it will not be long before they also turn up in Viennese coffeeshops and all over the world...
